Responsible, ethical production

Concorde Garments Group is a responsible and ethical apparel producer, and follows internationally established codes of social accountability and ethical business practice in spirit and in practice.

We respect cultural differences and employ people solely on their qualification for the job. We work with suppliers and buyers who abide by local laws and whose ethical standards are compatible with our own.

Our code of conduct draws on:

Safety

Safety by construction

Fire safety

  • Fire pump room and a dedicated fire control room
  • Fire detection throughout, alarm switches and at least two exits on every floor
  • Illuminated, battery-backed exit signage
  • Extinguishers inspected monthly, with instructions posted alongside
  • Around 18% of the workforce fire-fighting trained

Operator protection

  • Needle guards on every sewing machine
  • Chainmail cut-gloves in the cutting room
  • Protective gear for operators and clearly marked aisles and exits
  • Separate spot-removing room with exhaust ventilation
  • Boiler room enclosed by a 10-inch concrete wall
  • First-aid trained staff, with one first-aid box per 100 workers

Security and continuity

  • CCTV coverage and a secured perimeter
  • Two C-TPAT secure areas and a bonded warehouse
  • Timecard access control
  • 928 kW standby generation for uninterrupted production

People

Made by people who stay

More than 2,200 employees, the majority women, with supervisors and technicians who have served 15 to 35 years, and second-generation employees on the floor.

Sustainability

Traceable from source

GOTS and GRS scope certification supports organic and recycled programmes, and ISO 14001:2015 environmental management is in place at the factory.

At source, Osman Interlinings runs OEKO-TEX, RCS and OCS certified interlining lines.
